We ask for your partnership as a Community Advocate because your group or business’ hard-earned resources, voice, and reach are powerful. The goals of this partnership option, which mutually invests in each other, are twofold; providing essential goods or direct funding to a specific Lydia Place program and raising awareness about the faces and causes of homelessness. Our Community Advocates understand that housing is merely the first step in solving the issue of homelessness and that it is our responsibility both as individuals and collectives to work together to address the harmful stereotypes and underlying causes of homelessness in our community.

Host a Program Needs Drive
You can make a direct impact for our Housing, Parenting, Campus, and Mental Health Programs by providing the basic, high priority items our agency and our clients rely on that, we as an agency, cannot afford to provide alone. Connect with your customers in a meaningful way with a donation drive for in your place of business or online using our Amazon Wish lists. Choose which program or cause resonates with your business and receive personalized donation bins and signage to support your collective efforts.
Our Ongoing Program Needs list is updated regularly based on the feedback from our programs. These needs fall into three main categories focusing on essentials items for housing, parents and children, and individual personal growth. Program Focused Direct Funding
A little change goes a long way. Just as the needs of our community and our clients evolve so does your capacity as a business. We want to work alongside you to address the unmet needs of our community in a way that fits well for you and your business. The following partnership options are great for businesses looking for a direct and low-lift way to make a big impact. The goal is straightforward; raise funds for Lydia Place programs and services.
Housing Hero Drive
Becoming a Housing Hero is the best way our community can advocate for housing and support our most vulnerable families with emergency motel stays. For as little as $5 per month, you can provide one night of safe shelter for a child and their family. Last year, Lydia Place provided 3,840 emergency bed nights to families with children in Whatcom County.
Roundup for Lydia Place Programs
Helping by providing direct funds to our programs and services allows us to keep saying “YES” to families in need of support. Now more than ever your dollars are making a real difference in our ability to maintain stable, safe housing for hundreds of families today.

Focusing on service industry businesses this partnership opportunity works to connect your businesses’ distinct services with our programs’ unique operational needs or provide invaluable opportunities to gather, bond, and celebrate. The fundamental services our community relies on your business for; a fresh-cut lawn, an easy & healthy meal together, help with moving, are the same services our programs are seeking to operate effectively and provide for the families we serve.

Campus Housing Program
The Campus Housing Program (CHP) consists of four Lydia Place-owned and operated properties: Bell Tower, Baker Place, Gladstone House, A Place for Dads, and soon to be Heart House. Totaling 28 units, our CHP allows us to provide high-risk families with safe, low-barrier housing options that are not available anywhere else in our community. Families in our Campus Housing Program also receive intensive, ongoing case management that supports them in meeting their short and long-term goals related to housing, finances, education, employment, health, community connectedness, and parenting.
Need: Provide a quarterly family-style meal for our Campus Housing meetings!
Help set the table for the families we serve and enrich our Campus House gatherings by providing an easy, healthy meal for roughly 20 house members once a quarter. Ensure food security and enhance community connection within these multi-family living spaces.
Need: Provide monthly desserts for Campus Housing celebrations!
Help us sweeten up special occasions, birthdays, and milestones by providing cupcakes, cakes, or other yummy desserts from your business or a business you love! Increasing morale, appreciation, and happiness for kids and adults alike.
Need: Monthly lawn maintenance services for Campus Housing properties!
Each Lydia Place campus offers outdoor living, play space, and gardens for clients and children to enjoy. We hope to able to enhance these spaces, keeping them, safe and welcoming in with consistent lawn maintenance and landscaping services.
