Since 2001, Lydia Place partners with Bellingham/Whatcom County Housing Authority (BWCHA) to provide in-home support through the Supportive Services Program.
Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services
Lydia Place partners with Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services (DVSAS) to provide housing placement and case management services to the women and children fleeing domestic violence who enter the DVSAS Safe Shelter and through co-ownership of Baker Place.
Opportunity Council
Lydia Place and Opportunity Council’s housing teams have partnered to prioritize services to our community’s families with children who are experiencing homelessness.
Parents as Teachers (PAT)
Parents As Teachers (PAT) is the newest addition to the Parent Support Program at Lydia Place. This national evidence-based home visiting program includes intensive, flexible, and evidence-based home visiting services focused on equipping parents with the knowledge and resources they need to parent their children into successful adults.
United Way of Whatcom County
Lydia Place is proud to be a United Way of Whatcom County partner agency. The United Way provides funding for our Campus Housing Program and our Parent Support Program.
Whatcom Homeless Coalition
Lydia Place is an active member of the Whatcom Homeless Coalition which works to end homelessness and ensure safe, affordable, and accessible housing exists in our community. Lydia Place Executive Director, Emily O’Connor, serves on the Coalition’s Steering Committee.
Whatcom Homeless Service Center (WHSC)
Lydia Place is a partner in our community’s Coordinated Entry System, which is coordinated by the Whatcom Homeless Service Center (WHSC), and dedicated to centralizing housing services and implementing innovative ways to address homelessness. Other partners in the Coordinated Entry System include: Northwest Youth Services, Catholic Community Services, the YWCA, and Opportunity Council.
